Watch as con man Greg Scott Luce debunks himself. In his own words. Those not yet convinced that truth truly is stranger than fiction, have not had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of Gregg Luce. Taking a page from Christopher Rocancourt’s book, the recently apprehended Rockefeller impersonator, Luce holds himself out as related to Time-Life founder, Henry Luce in an effort to instill trust and open checkbooks. There is no relationship. Bernard Madoff is the current gold standard among con men. Not all con men are button-down, pinstriped models of decorum and sophistication. Some opt to set themselves apart from the pack via aloofness, rogue attitude and eccentricity. Luce is one such con man. Looking like Rod Stewart on a bad day, it’s hard to fathom that this man has bilked people out of hundreds of thousands. He has and continues unchecked to this very day, now operating in Santa Monica, CA. Luce is even so brazen as to publicly post amateurish video clips showing him soliciting and defrauding his “marks”. Taking excerpts from a number of such clips published in the public domain, this 30 minute montage is both parody and warning to those that may be approached by this scam artist. 10 years ago, he was as conservative in appearance as Bernard Madoff. That’s when he defrauded most of his victims. Since that time he has clearly gone bonkers (more bonkers). Yes, people do continue to open their check books for this guy. No idea why!
Is this guy for real???? How could anybody with an ounce of common sense take this wacked-out druggy seriously. How does he make a living? Are there actual people out there who trust this guy? They say a “sucker is born everyday”. Maybe that’s how he survives.
